REACTIVATE YOUR VISION
Regain the vision you had in your 20s-or better
If cataracts and presbyopia are affecting your quality of life, now is the time to talk to your eye doctor about treatment options.
Although most people over the age of 60 experience some level of blurry vision due to cataracts, and almost everyone over 50 loses their ability to read comfortably without glasses due to presbyopia, the TECNIS® Multifocal Lens now makes it possible to regain performance more like that of younger eyes.
Today, for people who have cataracts, there is a procedure to remove the clouded natural lens of the eye and replace it with an advanced, artificial TECNIS® Multifocal Lens. This unique implantable lens is proven to provide excellent vision at all distances, under all lighting conditions;day and night. Even better, the TECNIS® Multifocal Lens has helped thousands of people gain independence from glasses for the first time.
VISION CHANGES WITH AGE
Understanding these changes brings you one step closer to reclaiming younger vision
WHAT IS A CATARACT? Cataracts develop when the natural lens inside the eye becomes cloudy, brown, or yellow. As a result, light is scattered by the lens before it can focus on the retina, so vision becomes blurry or dark and colors become muted.
Signs of cataracts
• Difficulty driving
• Difficulty seeing at night
• Difficulty viewing a computer screen
• Colors appear dim and faded
• Frequent change in glasses prescription
WHAT IS PRESBYOPIA? Presbyopia is a common age-related condition.Beginning around the age of 40, the natural lens inside the eye begins to harden and become less flexible. This reduces the eye’s ability to switch focus from near, far, in between, and back again.
Signs of presbyopia
• Loss of ability to read up close
• Difficulty viewing a computer screen
• Need reading glasses or bifocals
• Holding objects further away to read
